Crime Report Monday

Aggravated burglary
A resident of Dana Road, Leoma returned to his home Friday to find it had been burglarized. He reported that a chainsaw, weed eater, and pole saw were stolen from the garage area. The back door was found standing open. Inside, the culprit had taken a laptop computer and miscellaneous change. Loss was estimated to total $2,320.
Burglary
Deputies report that a duffle bag, two chainsaws and a variety of tools were missing from a Highway 20, Summertown home in the wake of a burglary Friday. The resident reported the thief had used a concealed key to unlock the door to his shop. Bolt cutters were then used to remove a master lock that barred the way to rooms inside. Loss was approximately $1,130.
Aggravated burglary
A Prosser Road resident reported to officers Saturday that a lock box was missing from beneath her bed. She reported that she had been away from her home for approximately two hours. Officers found no sign of forced entry. The victim said that the box contained her cell phone, iPod, car title, a collectible coin set, medications and $2,500 cash. Total loss was around $2,985.
Littering
Residents of Long Branch Road discovered Saturday morning that someone had dumped garbage in a wooded area. Deputies report that wood, two broken television sets, and some garbage had been illegally discarded. They were able to pull a name and personal information from some of the trash. Deputies then called for an inmate cleanup crew to clear the site. The victim was advised about the process of obtaining a criminal summons.
Aggravated burglary
A resident of West Point found that her door had been kicked in when she returned to her residence shortly before 3:00 p.m. Saturday. She reported to deputies that her shop vac and two firearms had been stolen. She estimated that her losses would total $830.
Aggravated burglary
Although the front door had been kicked in, a Loretto resident reported that nothing appeared to be missing from his home Saturday. The victim informed deputies that he got home just prior to 6:00 p.m. to discover the break-in. Neighbors reported seeing nothing suspicious. Approximately $500 in damages was reported.
Vandalism
Deputies were dispatched to investigate the vandalism of a vehicle around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. The victim reported he and his girlfriend had left the residence only briefly that evening. After returning, he said they sat near a fire in the back yard for a time. When the victim went to roll up the window on his 1997 Ford Ranger, he found that the rear driver side window had been smashed. He estimated damages at $150.
